About 75 degrees here. My day was spent watching the Google fiber team repairing the sewer line they drilled through in front of my home while installing conduit for the fiber line. I had to take pictures and document the repair for the owner. Turns out that while Google did damage the sewer line when they bored, Queststar gas had also destroyed the line last year when they replaced the gas lines. Queststar did not repair the damage, rather they covered it up. Google will bill Queststar for that work, but did repair the line because they also damaged it. Right after the damage occurred we called a plumber $1,500 to have the plumber auger the line twice and put a camera down the line. The plumber quoted $20,000 and a week to repair the damage. A telephone call to Google, who called General Dynamics - their contractor - and the damage was repaired in a few hours, saving $20,000. Google is also paying the $1,500 it cost to have a plumber clean the line twice and run a camera down the line.
