One of my articles in my website rank for number 1 in Google for one longtail search phrase.

Adwords Keyword tool tells me this search phrase gets 1K searches per month [exact match].

While looking back few months of traffic and keywords bringing in that traffic (Google Analytics), I agree with the Keyword Tool: I get almost exatly 1000 unique visitors throgh Google for that article by people searching that term.

So it seems that KW tool is quite accurate actually ??

Google kw tool is only good for, AT MOST, 2 things when doing kw research.

Stick with MS...The rest is shit..

Edit: Fuck G analytics. They buff up their results when you use them to check your "traffic"

The tool might be accurate for your term, but don't
think that it will be like this for every keyword you come
    across.

You do realize that MS pulls its keyword results from Google Keyword tool right? There is no other data source for keyword data available. So basically every program uses Google keywords for data.

Just because MS pulls its results from Google doesnt mean it pulls it from the KEYTOOL Itself...You do know that right?

If you dont think so, go to google adword keytool and look for "daily clicks". Because if MS gets those numbers the KEYTOOL must have it as an option right? WRONG.

Everyone in this thread knew the OP meant "google adword keytool" that you get from there site.

But apparently not you since you decided to make up a post stating the fucking obvious...

The keyword external tool thing? Is that what you're talking about? For me it's not accurate. Because some of my keyword says 3k exact searches per month. But I always end up with 3.1k+ clicks for that keyword, so it's a good thing actually, considering that not all of the people clicks the top result. But I have a very attractive way of writing my meta description making them more likely to click my site first, so I know for sure that it helps greatly.

Hah, I love it when people get pissed about stupid stuff. MS does get the data from Keytool, how hard is it to take a number and divide it by 30 to get daily clicks? Jerk....

I don't think that Google Adwords Keyword tool is accurate. From my experience, I think there is no any keyword search is accurate based on the keyword tool.

This post really shows your ignorance.

So let me break it down.

For example i have a kw that ACCORDING TO GOOGLE KEYTOOL says i SHOULD get 2-3 clicks a day. Now here is where the bullshit comes in PAY ATTENTION... In Awstats i can see exactly how many clicks i get per day and it isnt 3 but significantly higher.....And im not even in the number 1 spot yet!

O and im not getting "pissed" im just throwing the right info out there so people dont leave MISinformed..

    Go learn you somethin boy.....

All of Googles tools blow to be quite honest, they may give you a half assed base-line to work with at best.

This shows YOUR ignorance you a--hole. GOOGLE KEYTOOL IS FOR ADWORDS dum dum. If you had adwords you would get 2-3 clicks. so PAY ATTENTION. If you were in number 1 spot it has nothing to do with how many clicks google keytool says you would get, because it only applies if you are advertising through adwords.

MS simply takes google's monthly search amount data and uses an algebraic formula to determine the amount of clicks a #1 site would get. So YES THE FRICKING DATA COMES FROM KEYTOOL.

So next time you "think" you know everything, stop and think next time that you may not. So in your exact words "Go learn you something boy." People like you are what's wrong with the world. If I'm wrong prove it.

But I'll prove my case. When you run Market Samurai, what does it say idiot? It says "collecting data from google keywords". Tard.

Did market research for my keyword with google adowrds. Got an estimate of 500,000 searches per month.Did similar checks with other tools and got much lower results. When I ranked 3rd after a lot of effort this highly competitive keyword. I am now getting 7 vistis per day and Google a few days ago changed the estimate from 500,000 to 5,000!

O your Greatness with your infinite wisdom...

How many times are people going to have to come into this thread and prove the same thing.

    GOOGLE ISNT ACCURATE

IDC wtf MS says its "getting results" from. They could do like google does

SAY ONE THING and DO ANOTHER.

Just like poster above me and numerous others have "stated"

I think this tool is good enough for keyword research but not for traffic estimation.
These traffic data based on all searches but from them not everyone enter into the first result of google.
