It possible to get SMS Notifications with GMAIL/YAHOO?

I'm trying to figure out a way that I can set up either one of my gmail or my yahoo email accounts to send me an instant notification to my mobile phone when I receive a new email. Does anyone know how to do this? Please help. PS I don't have a smartphone or BB since I smashed the screen of my Dell Streak in a drunken rage!

Only thing I know of is on my smart phone I downloaded an app called gMail and it auto checks my email every 10 minutes and gives me a ring a ding ding when I get mail.

Set your mail to forward to your sms address. I think for mine its like [email protected] or some crap like that. then I THINK it will send you a copy. Never tried it but think it works in theory.
