We see too many threads about "How do I make money online"... so many that one can get dizzy and toss their lunch. What so many fail to do is to look at some of the threads that are not "How to make money" threads but rather threads talking about interesting things on the computer TV box we sit in front of all too long. Case in point the below thread posted by @Trepanated: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/g...bsite-to-create-your-own-hoax-stories.756726/ That thread gave me cause to build a little FB cash cow for a couple of years and many others did the same. He posted it because it looked like a fun site, and it was, and maybe still is. A few of us saw that as an opportunity to monetize by putting our links on there and sharing that site on social media. It was not a money making thread and he had no intention on turning it into one but it gave great ideas to a handful of guys and those guys shared their ideas and that spawned yet another generation of revenue streams for others. I know some of the money guys earned from the initial thread shared by @Trepanated and without naming them I'll give you some legitimate numbers. 1) Guy made over 400K using FB from the idea. 2) Guy made enough to buy a new car paid for in cash from the ideas generated from that thread. 3) Guy made 100K from just one campaign (I know he had a handful of campaigns but he only told me about 1 and I know that guy makes bank in general) in a year's time. 4) Guy paid off his home from the ideas generated from that thread and also took a bunch of money and invested it into a site selling hoverboards and was making 1K a day from that for a while. 5) Guy made 85K from ideas from that thread. These are real numbers from real people as I know each guy; one actually posted a pic of his car here on BHW. All from a hoax site. A Freaking Hoax Site! So what can we learn from this? That just because the thread that is opened is not about making money you can still take the info and turn it into money. What are the guys selling in the marketplace? Can you learn from them and build sites and rank them using the kinds of services they offer? You don't have to buy the service but if you see what is being offered and you have time and energy on your hands you can usually recreate at least the lion's share of what they are offering. Not only that you can take that information and add to it with your own ideas for SEO to rank sites. How about the Want To buy threads? What value can you see there as a person who wants to make bank in IM? Well, if you are seeing people wanting to buy XYZ fairly often consider what he or she would be doing with the end product. Clearly they are not looking to buy XYZ to put on their mantle over their fireplace. There is value in figuring the end use for the things/services people want to buy. Although the money making section is chock full of ideas and shares, that is not the only place on BHW where you can pick up ideas to bank. Someone is hiring a freelancer to get leads for XYZ industry. Why? Figure the why and make that a target for you and you can also use your noggin to twist it for other industries. Guy is looking for a person to post on various forums that are in the monkey industry. Why would he do that except he knows how to monetize users on a forum about monkeys. By no means am I saying rip off your fellow BHW community member. I'm saying see what others are buying, selling, wanting done and do for fun, and turn those ideas into yours and generate revenue from that. I shared a while back that looking at some of the old way I generated money and updating them turned into decent cash. One Jr Exec in particular hit me up a few days later and told me he took that idea and turned it into some decent cash with very little effort. Stop working in the industry with blinders on and expand your thought processes and idea base. Take the forum threads and posts as a whole and turn those into a more complete revenue stream for yourselves.
