I don`t understand ...... they are roughly 1 year old and they have a lot of movies uploaded and a premium youtube channel ! How come ? They claim they have rights ... and I see tons of channels like these , how do they get rights , or did they have any ? They earn like mofos with youtube parteners ... If I make something simillar i can bet I will get my videos banned

So what do you think ?

Anyone can post movie trailers on YouTube, you are just giving the movie more and more exposure so no one will mind. If you edit the video with your URL etc then this is breaking copyright and YouTube will pull it down and suspend you.

I tryied to upload movie trailers on my yt channel but with zero success. It always appears a copyright info that the video is licensed by Fox, Sony, Universal Pictures and so on... I guess these channels that monetize trailers are paying some fees to someone... But where and to who ? How can we know ? I would be interested to pay a fee to be able to show trailers on yt... But I got no info and no one is sharing their knowlege so that you can`t compete with them.
So the status is now that you can't monetize video trailers... youtube bans it from the start... so you can't even reach the warning sistem (where someone warns for copyright material) because yt has a automatic detection sistem and the trailer is not being made public from the first 5 sec you upload it :)

And btw I find all this thing very stupid because trailers are like an advert of the movie... so I am promoting the movie on some level wich is good for them but... i don't know... seems like copyrights has become like a new religion... everyone is obssed by it and they make rights even on some things that should be free :-j
