I mean i know xrumer is very powerful and can be modified to do a lot. But scrapebox targets blogs. And It seems like there is wayyy more blogs than forums if i'm not wrong?

I'm new to blackhat seo, i've always been into other traffic techniques.

Anyways, someone steer me in the right direction. :)

rofl what crack have you been smoking man

xrumer also does blogs, wikis, guestbooks and more and has a captcha breaker that nothing else can match

stop sniffing glue and look at what it actually does

Xrum is awesome, just a little intimidating at first....and second.....and third.....and the training is self or secret society with a healthy learning curve. But once you get over the fear of flying, its the shit.

I have both, and Xrumer does so much more than SB.
On the other hand, SB is the best value around for the money and also is much more user-friendly with a much easier learning curve, and the developer does constant upgrades.

it wont be fair to compare xrumer and scrapebox considering the resources they use.
you are comparing $47 with $540 + dedi. sb does awsome job for its price,,in terms of ROI both are gr8

Lol, what I saw about Xrummer realy impressed me. To me xrummer looks more like the real deal instead of scrapebox. Sorry but that's my first guess.

I should use xrummer, even if I haven't used this program at all

    Iv'e ran xrumer on 8mbit and 100mbit.
    (Both at home)

Would honestly not go back to 8mbit again.

But sure, its "doable" at low speeds, but argh what a pain it is.

They both do things that the other cannot. As another posted suggested, it's like comparing apples to oranges.

Instead of comparing them, use them to compliment eachother.

Scrapebox has amazing list management features, which is what it mainly gets used for now that I've got XRumer. I just use to prune/sort/collect new lists for XRumer in addition to having HRefer.

Ever tried the PR sort in HRefer? It's slow as hell.
Fire up PR check in Scrapebox and sort the list 4x as fast, then easily export PR ranges to different lists (I manage lists by PR for reselling blast services).

Got old lists? Run an alive check, speeds up old lists when you're not waiting for timeouts to complete on dead sites.

Don't compare, just learn to use them to compliment each other.

You can easily have XRumer running forum jobs, and Scrapebox running blog comments at the same time on the same server to further the combo.

I absolutely agree. Use them to compliment each other is the best way. Obviously Xrumer is so much more poerful. But SB is also a powerful tool, but used for different things than Xrumer. BUt when you use them together...Watch out world here I come :)

As a "Poster" Xrumer has no equal. But as a "Scraper", if used correctly, Scrapebox is absolutely amazing. I can get literally limitless numbers of High PR pages on which to post and get backlinks. Its a fantastic tool used correctly.

Hrefer is by far a better Scraper than Scrapebox.

I second this, while scrapebox "seems" to go faster, once you hit remove duplicates on a list of 500k+..be prepared to make a sandwich and when you come back, 300k were duplicates.

While annoying, it's not game breaking until you get the notice from scrapebox about not being able to go over 1mil harvested links.

Oh and if it (or the server) crashes, loses connection, etc, be prepared for heartache.

Where HRefer seems to take longer because it compares each URL in realtime to make sure it doesn't harvest duplicates, also, you can setup your server to auto-reboot on errors and simply have HRefer on the startup list with auto resume enabled. Bam, it can run for weeks, even if your server reboots nightly. (or crashes...danm windows)

Scrapebox's harvester is best used for looking for very specific footprints, where HRefer is more tailored to "hey lets grab 2 million forums and put them in a list" type work.

All of this is IMHO of course, ymmv
