It's a very common sight to see youngsters showing disrespect to their elders.
They have such a strong sense of self-entitlement. They want to get lots of benefits for very little work.
The younger generation seem very narcissistic and self-centred.

I know a few colleagues in army whom are younger than me and jeez... they don't know WHAT is hard work.
Just a few simple tasks and they start complaining it is too much work. When they are done, they start demanding for free time or requesting for off-days. I mean, wtf dude...
I even have old classmates who demand me to teach them IM and act as if they have the bargaining power.
Some get STRESS because they feel BORED. Most want to avoid hardship and have the easy way.

Nah whatever... rant off. Just gotta get it off my chest.

I totally agree with you. The young generation today only knows how to complain, rather than work to get things done.

I couldn't agree more with you. I think if you want to lay some blame I would start with social media Facebook etc where everyone thinks they are a mini celebrity and this helps develop narcissistic behaviors in youth.

Also I believe part of this lazy movement is due to instant access to information they grow up with. You want to know anything google will tell you this in a few seconds. So what happens when something is hard or taking awhile?

The more lazy people the bigger piece of the money pie for those who put in the effort, and that range is getting further apart day by day.

Agreed. I'm an 80's baby as well and I remember when teens were normal and didn't bitch about every little aspect of their life. Instead of school, they sit at home messing around on their iPad. #YOLO #SWAG #COMEATMEBRO. Embarrassing.

I was born in 1970. Probably considered an old fart on here lol. The 70's and early to late 80's were the best times growing up. This new generation is awful. No respect for elders, people always trying to screw everyone over, holier than thou crap, yeah I miss those days. No comparison to the good old days.

And women were a blast back then. Now? Not so much. They're all about games, drama and diva bullshit.

Couldn't agree more with you on this but there is nothing you can do about it, so just keep on doing your thing like they don't even exist. :)

I think a lot of it is technology... Kind of like what cl0zed said up there, they're used to every problem being solved for them immediately ("isn't there an app that can do this for me???") They have zero patience; the only challenge they ever relish is playing Call of Doody.

haha being 19 I have no doubt this describes most people around my age, however thoughts like this is what promotes prejudice a lot of the time, even if this is true for the majority. ahah I do like surprising people though, having traveled a lot you learn respect for family and elders. Not because someone told you too but because you understand they went through 40-50-60+ years of life and they probably have some important shit to say if there not complete losers.

This is because they are dragged up by parents who are only 14 years older than them.

"respect your elders" I don't agree with but the rest is spot on.

No one should just "get" respect. Now a little common courtesy, politeness, etc, everyone deserves that. The respect, that comes later.

Don't be a dick and carry your own weight is all I ask of anyone.

Normal , it's the first time we can only expect worst than our parents have. I mean the future is not easy to see for youngster, maybe they are just not motivating by the future that we can offer. Motivation and inspiration is the key of success for any youngster i think. It take time to develop. When i start doing web business i was not doing it really serious and it take time for me to get on the road and have a clear idea of what i want to do and what I like to do. I wish i could be serious when i was15 years old , i'll be on an other level right now, but time pass and people change , so do I !
