For my new blog, I went to Themeforest and selected half a dozen wordpress themes, and started to open each for demos. Hardly on my 5th theme, a message appeared "Seems like you are a bot, please solve the Captcha". I solved 10-12 text captchas but everytime it said "Incorrect", and ultimately I had to restart my modem, for a different IP.

My question is, TF is a marketplace and no one will simply go and pick one theme. And even if I was a bot, what harm could I have done?

Really frustrating. Any ideas?

Yeah, you are supposed to be a slow thinker that takes 15mins to decide that a theme is not what he is looking for. If you can figure it out with a look in the comment section then you're a bot.

Seems more like cloudflare or whatever service they use for anti bot detection.

I had a similar issue before and noticed my IP was flagged for abuse on multiple databases.

Turns out the Chinese android box I bought was doing some fishy things in the background so I had to take it off my wifi. Since then, I've had no issues.

Apps, malware, etc. could be the root of this issue on your end. I'd take a look there, especially if you have any pirated software/devices on your wifi.
