Has anyone else noticed that Warrior Forum signatures only show: http://www.sudorank.com/warrior-forum-breaking-google-webmaster-guidelines/

    - If you have clicked "Show Signatures" in your profile (The default is Off)
    - If Googlebot visits the thread

Isn't that just a huge link cloaking tactic - A mistake probably but ye, link cloaking? I mean the links only realistically appear when Google visits lmao!

As much as I despise WF and anything related to them, I cannot really understand why would you create that blog post to blame them for breaking GWM rules??? In BHW, where like I'm pretty sure we all have done this at some point?

Whats the point? Is it simply pointing out a curiosity or are you like playing cops?

No disrespect man, just trying to understand why

Well I don't think Google minds showing Warrior Forum at the top of the SERPs... It's perfect misdirection.

I'm not so much pointing a finger, I would be 99% certain it's an honest silly mistake.

It's quite funny though, it's also a good case study to see how long before my account is banned.

Google doesn't care about rules when it comes to high traffic sites like BHW / WF etc coz it generates revenue for google as well.

Ye, I kinda get that logic :)

I don't think this was done to spam though, I think it's a "bug" that no one thoughts about when coding it up.

two things probably going... they break rules accidentally or with majesty matt cutts permission

then maybe google is taking over freelancer so they allow it...

Look at sites like forbes, they display ads right when you click on the site. If someone like me or you tried this we'd get banned but since they're in the top 100 global sites google doesn't care.
