what i would like is your thoughts on is video marketing just to raise your niche sites serps, never mind the video marketing to sell aff products with watermarks or whatever,

anyones experience using traffic geyser to get traffic to your site?
did you notice a great increase in serps after using traffic geyser?

It's not really going to increase your rank unless you have backlinks in on these video sites, even then they will most likely be nofollow and given little linkjuice. Video marketing is more to get direct traffic from the video itself, and have the video be keyword rich to rank high on search results.

Can't argue with ExtremeSEO, a lot of the video sharing sites are nofollow, didn't used to be that way, but alas, it is now. Still I get a ton of views and yes I'm loving Traffic Geyser. There are certainly less expensive options, Tubemogul, Video Post Robot (if it still works) Big Mike (from WF) videobot, heyspread, etc. Video marketing, more than anything is about consistency, and letting it be part of (but not all) of your SEO efforts.

Video marketing is always a great help in creating a "buzz" about your product. But you need to be creative. A lot of people just smash a video together in 5 minutes with Animoto and expect that it will do them some good, which it doesn't. If you take the time and make a clever QUALITY video, it can take you a long way.

Also, if you are planning on putting your video on youtube and the other various video sharing sites, use a cool music backround track, don't let it go for more than a minute or a minute-and-a-half, and make it a "Teaser". Make people curious enough to want to go to your site or blog to find out more.

Anyone got a list of the video sites that actually give a backlink?

I thought that the point of video promotion was to try to
    A) get good quality highly targeted and relevant backlinks
    B) To take advantage of Googles love of videos to get your video on the first page of Google for your keyword, (and the video description will havea link to your money site.)

    To designsonline:

Yes . . .that is true also. But I use them more to get people to come to my presell page and hopefully buy my product.

WizGizmo, are the reasons I posted still currently valid?
    And if so:
I know that it used to be fairly easy to get a top page on Google by using video, but is it still as easy?
