Is using softwares like scrapebox or xrumer or senukex etc.. is what we call blackhat seo?
From what my understanding is. Any way to trick search engines etc to pay more attention to you is technically blackhat. If its not organic. In alot of peoples eyes its blackhat. Id elaborate more... .. .. . But just look around on here.
And yes xrummer, sb and senuke are all black hat tools. But its in the manner used, its either spam or good, decent relevant content.

Building backilinks for the sole purpose of ranking your site higher is what is considered blackhat. Which makes backlinking tools blackhat.
for all intents and purposes yes, that is what we call blackhat
O'rly? What is whitehat seo and whitehat backlinking then?
Blackhat seo means using either cheap tricks to rank (the number of which went down hugely after panda) or using rather immoral ways oif getting links (like spamming your link with senuke)
Blackhat means not the usage of tools.
It means to find out, what Google wants and to develop methods to blast your own site using these tools.
They are only for supporting and for saving time.
My god, this is what blackhat has become to you guys? It's real easy to spot the folks who have been doing this for a looooooong time compared to the backlink kiddies running around these days.
Wherefore art though doorway pages, cookie stuffers, et al?
It's a bit sad that all the fear being spread out causes so much misconception with what blackhat SEO actually is.
Just because you use a specific tool, does not mean that you're necessarily doing something blackhat... yes, it is a very common correlation, but it doesn't mean it's always the case.
Then again, black/white/gray... if an entire community can't agree on what EXACTLY separates each, stop worrying about it and just figure out what WORKS.
People love putting labels... blackhat/whitehat, democrat/republican, good/evil...
There is ALWAYS a grey area/exception.
It means to purposefully use borderline or full on unethical methods to achieve results.
From the point of view of G TOS, any SEO is blackhat.
From my point, Xrumer/SB/etc is "grayhat" SEO. For me "blackhat" in most cases is equal to fraud, so blackhat SEO is using hacking and things like that. Also doorways should be viewed as blackhat stuff.
And what difference does it make for you?
Cookie stuffing really has nothing to do with seo.
Anyways; the term "blackhat" is sort of vague.
Essentially I'd say that when we're talking backlink building all sorts of tools that automate backlinking are essentially blackhat.
Technically the term blackhat and whitehat had nothing to do with seo. It was referring to the type of hacker/coder you were. & still sort of relates to today's terms for each. Black hat was the unethical, hacking for the fun/troll/thrill of it, and whitehat seo was ethic hacking which we should all know what it is used for.....to find loopholes and such before the blackhats do and fix them. So basically, the difference between black hat and whitehat are your ethical views.
i think its greyhat
According to Matt Cutts any link built intentionally to manipulate Google's ranking is not ethical and is considered Black Hat! Also in the perfect world (LA-LA Land) you should write compelling content so that your content is naturally linked and looked upon a resource and linked by other webmasters.
Of course cookie stuffing has nothing to do with SEO. But the point still stands. Blackhat Seo, to me, is injecting someone elses site via a sql injection, gaining access to root, and then building tons of embedded pages into existing content without the owner of the site knowing the code is in there (yea, I'm looking at you base64..)
Blackhat backlinking? Come on now. Some of you guys have no idea what real blackhat actually is.
Does anyone really use these anymore for their moneysites? My advice would be to build good blog sites by hand with useful content that links to your money site and then supplement them with Scrapebox, etc to build backlinks to the blogs. Then use social Signals to generate a good profile.
Wrong forum then =) Those a really whitehat
Agreed! Play safe so Google won't catch you
You do realize the name of the message forum you are on, correct?
Separate names with a comma.
