    i have adsense on my site and i was thinking about blocking advertisers that sell products similar to the ones i'm promoting to boost my own affiliate sales. what do you think?

    as said above, you'd make more money from affiliate sales than adsense, so i'd block the buggers

    I think having AdSense on an aff site is counter productive to begin with, pick a monetization method and stick with it.

    well i will not have affiliate links on all of my posts. so i think having adsense will not really harm me especially if i block all those similar advertisers

    In this way you'll block your adsense as well. You should see the terms and policies of Google on this issue to get more detailed information. I don't know it will productive or not.
