Hey guys Ive been volunteering at an exotic animal sanctuary. The biggest in the USA for a big cats (over 140 tigers here. taligers and ligers). Any how I am trying to build their youtube presence and get some donations (youtube nonprofit approved) and ad revenue for the zoo.

So I came up with some spins on some animal youtube videos that have worked in the past. I want you guys to check these out and let me know what you think.
I value many of you on BHW advice and input and I was really inspired by the love that was shown by the community with a previous post in regard to redesign of this non-profits main site.

So guys and gals which is your favorite vid and are these capable of becoming viral with the right push in your honest opinion?

Note this is all ORIGINAL content that was shot at the park and edited within the last 48hrs.

    Regarding 2nd video
    a) What's with the 25 seconds intro?
    b) That bear is doing stereotypic movements. Stereotypic movements are typical for caged animals or animals living outside their natural environment

Nothing funny or viral about it.

    A) The owner of the park wants all videos to be tagged with his intro to his tv show which is streamed daily
    B) Didnt know you were an expert in "caged animals or animals outside of their habitat. Guess instead of rescuing the bear at a cost of 400$ semi monthly to feed and house the bear he should of let the previous owners kill it.
    C) Go to any federally ran Zoo and see if a bear has more square feet "caged" as you call it. Let me help you. The habitats here are bigger then most zoos all over the world.
    D) With the exception of a couple post your replies always typically tend to geared towards negativity or somewhat insulting.
    E) Thank you for the feedback...

These videos are awesome and super-viral. PSY's Gangnam Style is going down after you post this on YouTube.
Here you are, I hope this comment is better....

If you're trying to draw viewers to the animal sanctuary by promoting the guys tv show then you won't be able to change much but if all you want is a viral video then you may have to cut the intro part out and settle for a small watermark/ID

Doggie dentist video has viral potential, as does dancing bear. Most viral videos are without an intro/promo though -- that is the only negative factor I can point to.

If you look at the top ten viral animal videos you'll notice they all have a different "viral hook" or appeal. People share stuff because they get a payoff in some way & like to share that same experience with others.

If you look through viral video sites and trending video sites like:

    http://www.viralviralvideos.com/tag/animals/
    http://youtube-trends.blogspot.com/

Also do some digging at http://tuberank.joinvan.com
    - You're bound to pick up a few ideas.

I dig deep into trending / viral videos quite a bit and can say you have something there but you might need to finesse the videos either via different mashups or a re-edit.

    Ideas:
-Play Black church music and have the bear "shout" .. share via Godtube, Urban sites etc. Caption "Watch This Bear Get his Praise On!" "Glorrayy!" etc..
-Try out Bear dancing to other shuffle type dances and upload those as well.
-Edit scenes from famous movies with the word "bear" in it - "I can't bear to see you go" - Cut to bear dancing. Rinse and repeat with 2-5 movie scenes and see if it takes off.
    -Do something with dubstep.
-Do something with a James Brown song

-Share the goofiest videos on Reddit, *****, Digg upvote it via a few booster profiles.

For Doggie dentist I think a tune like "You've got a friend in me" and the video will ramp up the charm factor and cute appeal. I'd even go so far as to pay to post the video to FB Fanpage of Dog lovers or Weenie Dogs.

You could post title with play on words to do with "Hot Dog" "Canine Cleaning" etc .. whatever is worth a chuckle in addition to the visual. Semantic incongruity or word play like this does trigger humor appreciation in a different way than sight gags like a dancing bear by itself illicits.

There are different parts of the brain that react to things that we find humorous or cute or funny or culturally parody.

One part of the brain reacts to things that go against normal expectations (cognitive conflict) i.e A dog singing while playing keys on the piano -- once the brain processes the humor appreciation and shifts to emotional reward phase, the amygdala releases pleasure inducing dopamine.. and then the viewer clicks on the share/repost/like button...

How to start a viral push/start a trending video?

Check the backlinks and social signals for the current trending videos. Look up similar videos on tuberank and note the share/view ratios etc. Replicate these roughly.

And then sometimes it's just a throw of the dice and you won't know until it's out there.

The 25 second nonsense intro is just long enough time to have made sure all viewers have exited the video and moved on...

Viral videos are all about the content no one is interested on Joe's what ever BS intro!

Those videos can't be viral (i hope you will understand my english)
1.Like others said, viral videos don't have an intro and should look natural.
2.Youtube database is full of animals vids so you need to think out of the box
3.I saw a tv show on this park and i think that you'll need to digg more and find emotional stories
4.SkyrocketSEO is a very funny guy and you shuld listen to what he said about the cages.

bottom line, those vids are good for youtube seo but not as viral vids.

Go to the park for one day, listen to the workers stories and i'm sure you'll get to a nice idea:)

What do you need to think when you'r making a viral vid?
Ask yourself if you're friends will share it without you ask them to..

I would say a quick and easy way would be to ditch the intro and then post on reddit.

p.s. doggie dentist is "OMG ADORABLE", according to my wife.

ok guys what do you think about this one?

I shortened the intro and went off a real popular video niche "animal talk(s)"

Now introducing the WORLD'S FIRST EVER
