Pretty much like Flickr.com but for websites? We'll see what happens to it, I think it will flop though as you don't really get anything beyond from what people visiting the website without donating.

This option is also good one to block web ads https://www.ghostery.com/en/download.

BTW will the donations vis a vis will reflect how websites are ranked on Google. Maybe a manual preference.Getting an idea on how Mozialla and Wikipedia works

Google is so behind the times with this. Nowadays there are plugins and scripts people can use to set up their own ad-free paid subscriptions. Why bother with Google?

Besides, Adblock is free and no one needs a "thank you" for "contributing" to ad-free browsing.

Looking at the partners that will be joining this experiment (Urban, the onion, Science Daily, Wiki How, Mashabe, Imgur). Most, if not all, earn more money/have more traffic than many ordinary bloggers/website owners.

I would have been more impressed if Google shown sites that aren't well known or popular as being part of their experiment. I wouldn't give money to well established sites like Wiki How, the Onion, or Mashable, etc.

    Not impressed. Moving on.

WikiHow really? Google must be desperate to consider them usable.
