I search on mobile " Current time in China ".

It shows just one result with time time listed. To see other sites ranking for this keyword, I have to click on all results. Is this the end of SEO?
How about you search for something like; how fry a jellyfish (insert anything here). Then get back to us.

By the way, I did same search it doesn't return a single result. Furthermore, searches like this one are not what you use to gauge whether SEO is dead or not. Makes no sense at all.

@krishnaverma it's a bug.

But even it is a bug, SEO is dying. People who disagree are either link sellers or haven't been actively keeping track of the SEO game and just being in denial. I've been in this SEO game for years and I've met many other webmasters whom are into the SEO game for nearly a decade and we all agreed on the same thing.

Whether is it how Google obliterate whitehat sites in the recent core update, or throttling traffic. Google have been going to great extremes to reduce organic traffic.

Even if it is not algorithm updates, they are actively changing the search results layout to be very distracting to users. Just search for anything and you will see a big shopping ad panel at the top, followed by 4 paid listings, then sometimes "People Also Ask" or Youtube panel, only then they start showing sites ranking organically. This will reduce your CTRs tremendously. As I've always said, if you all don't believe me, just log on to your Google Search Console and see your performance analytics - you will notice the "impressions" and "clicks" are getting wider and wider apart, especially after the May core update when they introduced that shopping ads panel.

So even if you do ultimate SEO like building quality links, put up quality content, and so on... The ROI isn't as profitable as in the past anymore.

I highly advise any of you to start finding alternatives or a backup plan.

Shopping ads have been in the results for years. Are you certain you've been in the SEO game for years?

I agree with this......but it might be niche dependant. Google wants to make as much as Ad revenue as possible.

I think they go after high traffic niches were they can place ads to make money. They don't care about wrecking the serps.

I've noticed some niches only have 1 or 2 small text ads and that's It!

The niches im talking about are low search volume - high ticket niches.

To clarify.....SEO is not dead. It's just becoming more diluted.

LOL It's been 10 years people have been saying SEO is dead.
Sure, it is more expensive than what it used to be because you can't make linkbuilding for free or cheap like before.
Google is putting more ads which is annoying, but people still look for natural results.
I adapt. On the bright side, I have access to autotranslate-IA tools, expired domains, backlinking platforms that didn't exist before.

I read the same question like this 10 years ago I'm sure I'm gonna read one ten years from now

SEO dying? No, it is just evolving like anything else around us. Problem is, people want to do easy stuff and start banking overnight. But I like those people which state this kind of stuff, with "dying" on end cause there will be lowered competition in market.

Sorry @krishnaverma, but the-end-is-near people annoy me. You seem to be doing this more often than others. I get it it's a clickbait and you want views but still, threads like this will just hurt your reputation in the long run.

I believe SEO is still in it's baby phase and will keep growing and evolving. Google as a search engine will die long before SEO dies.

Time and again we have been warned regarding these and it can be a huge mistake ignoring these warnings:
End Of Google Izz near o_O:weep::(
End Of SEO Izz also looking near
End Of Google Maps Izz also near

But Gmail looks safe so, emailing is the next big thing. :)
