Engine102, reread aftershocks post...
You have to submit ORIGINAL/UNIQUE content to the directories as aftershock stated...
He's talking about the authority sites when submitting your article which gives you authority links...
So Xcptn must mean that you can use the same article to submit to other non-authority directories for backlinks...
However if you're submitting to authorities like ezinearticles, squidoo, hub, scribd etc. - then yes, you must use original (20 different variations) articles per site...
Hey guys,
Actually, you all are close but the articles ' DON'T ' have to be different articles. They only haveto be ' unique ' as in ' you ' writing/compiling them for you to legally submit them to the directories.
As for the posting part of it, you can post the one article on every directory, as well as content on your website due to you being the one that produced the article.
Here:
1. write/construct the article.
2. post the article on your own relevant website in it's original format.
3. post the article on all of the article directories that you like to use, again, in it's original format.
The confusion here is that ' articles don't lose their unique value, ' no matter how many times they are posted on other user's sites...that is what makes article marketing so viral...because every time a user posts a link to your article from any given directory, it is a backlink to you via that directory.
As long as your article is getting links and views via the directory, you WANT more people to share your content around. If you look at your stats in the article directory accounts, where you original post the articles, you can track how many views/reads and links(other article directory members using your content linked to their site ), which gives you ' authority ranking ' within that directory.
This gives you more creditability with the community as well as with the search engines as a recognized article writer and niche authority. That means that you start to get noticed and your pagerank goes up across the board with every search engine, which is what brings you even more natural ranking and traffic in the page positions.
