Ok maybe I am being impatient but just wanted to run something past you guys.
I have a newer site 3 weeks old or so, promoting a clickbank product.
I have created and submitted 5 articles to the major articles sites, and also the document sharing sites.

According to clickbank, I currently have 500 hops for this product, but 2 order form impressions, and 0 sales.

Is this normal, or maybe the sales page is not that great?

Or I am just being impatient?

Most of the hops are from my articles, as my site is not ranking on google yet.

That doesn't seem right. A good purchase-rate is probably like 1-3%, which means you should have a fair amount of sales right now. Are you sure you're targeting your visitors properly? You ONLY need traffic that actively wants to buy your product, not people that MIGHT be interested. Hope that helps.

Well I think that may be one of my problems. I think alot of my clicks coming from the document sites and article directories may not be the type of clicks I need. Maybe I just need to wait until I rank for my keywords on google.
Im #2 on yahoo but not showing on google right now.

Yeah, usually you just need time. Let it rank on Google and see what happens - See the traffic from the articles as bonus traffic, not stuff you're depending on. Work on your SEO instead. Make sure to do targeted keywords, of course. Good luck!

I'd give it time.. like has been said, give it a while, and if you're not getting around 2%, maybe look into what's going on. Still too early to say though.

yeah i got like 300+ hop clicks from my clickbank tracking data and still no sales. we're both newbies so i got nothing to share but i think we should be a little more patient. just promote more and more until we hit that jackpot :)

The type of traffic is important, of course, but so is the content of the article.

Do you articles warm up the prospect? Do they make them curious to know more? Do they whet the appetite for success, so to speak?

If you have an in-depth informational article about the finer details of forex trading psychology, and then you pitch a "BUY MY FOREX ROBOT NOW QUICK" at the bottom... you might not make any sales.

I'm not saying you are doing that of course, but there's more to making sales than just relying on the vendor.

What is the gravity of the clickbank product you are promoting? Are the visitor targeted?
