Anyone that has read some of my past posts knows that I like going hiking. I live in an area that is some of the most beautiful land in the world. This land is also filled with lots of legends that some people consider to be true , while others deem them to be just legends and tales. Whether some of these legends are true or not, I don't know; but on an a recent trek out to a woodland area just a bit southwest of MT Saint Helens I came across something that got my boyhood curiosity meter up. It started as a normal rainy day in the pacific northwest. I decided to take my wife and daughter hiking deep in the woods in the Cougar area of Washington (its up in the mountains by ST Helens). We took the 4x4 on an old logging trail about 4 miles off the main hwy. After reaching a point that had a diverse amount of trees, that seemed like a good area to go mushroom hunting, we got out of the truck and venture into the woods about a half mile in (there were no trails-this was just off beat trekking). Checking out all of the different mushrooms, trying to find the most prized ones I stumbled upon a footprint which caught my eye. At first I thought maybe this was a bear footprint, but after closer examination this was not the shape of a bears print (Bears have a more rounded print) and resembled more of a human footprint. Now this was odd, because I was not anywhere very many people would naturally find themself at (unless they're adventurous like myself) and even if people had recently came to the area, there is no way they would be out there walking around barefooted. Did I find a Bigfoot footprint? The picture is below. Tell me what you guys think.
