I have 2-3 main sites going for couple years now. I haven't touch IM for almost a year.
But before that, my sites gets plenty of backlinks from AMR, Senuke, Scrapebox, and some High PR blogs on BHW.
Lets say I target keyword: "weight loss" for the main site and 1-2 pages. It was on page 1 position 2-7.
After 1 year now I check, all the pages and main sites that I spent my money on are all gone. Accept 1-2 pages that has absolutely no backlinks on it are still on page 3-4.
Can someone explain this? I've been gone so long I need to update. Is this normal?

Yes its Normal. A new update named Penguin was released this year affecting almost all sites that used Blackhat techniques wrongly. You need to read more about this update, take a look around the forum and educate yourself. You cant rank with only Blackhat techniques these days, you need unique content (not spun) to rank. Good luck brother.

    Makeitrain,

As mentioned by the other member, there was the Penquin update not to mention a slew of others that you may have missed if you haven't been keeping up over the past year or so. Google has been aggressively going after spam sites and black hat techniques.

You can read through the hundreds of updates here and it will quickly become clear why you are no longer ranking well,

    Hope that helps,

    Shawn

    Thanks for the replies.
I'm about to use GSA for my new link building campaign. Is it still working with the new Penguin rule because I guess GSA still use Spun content?
