this keyword that I am thinking of targeting has 18000 local exact visiters searching for it. do you think it is a hard keyword to target to get 1st?

are those stats accurate? how can a 15 year old domain with over 1million backlinks be PR0? and not a single page has title description or H1 tag optimized? i dont trust that screen shot
 
And if we say hard are you really going to not even try? I always just try, you can ALWAYS quit.
 
Doesnt seem too easy to me, as the #1 has 30817 bl with 15 years domain age....
I notice Traffic Travis is not accurate when it comes to on-page seo settings
