I want to build links to a new site and I was planning to use high quality links only such as web 2.0s and private blog posts for my main anchor text only (100%). Since i need to have some anchor variation to avoid getting hit for overuse of anchor text by penguin, i will only use anchor variation for low quality links such as blog comments and bookmarks...That way all high pr links will bring juice to my money keyword and i'll maintain a good percentage of anchor text. Do you think this is a correct way to do it?

It is a great approach. I do it all the time.

But be careful with the private blog posts.

I would just go with naked URLs and only use your keyword as anchor text about 5% of the time. Use as many generic "click Herr", "check this out", "here" anchor texts as you can. Also branded anchors should be safe. If in doubt, use naked anchor texts (<a href="mahwebsite.com">mahwebsite.com</a>)

Why should be careful about private blog posts? im thinking of using pbn posts for main anchor text only, since its more expensive to buy.
Low quality links will only be used for anchor variation.

They are risky because if the network gets outed then you will be penalized. It's not a bad idea to place a buffer site that you can take down between the blog network and your website.

Your approach is just fine. Make sure you:

    * do not use spun text but only high quality manual written content
    * diversify your links sources (comments, forum profiles, bookmarks, etc)
    * aim for anchor text diversification similar to your top competitor. As simply as that. Ignore nofollow links when checking their link profile. Ahrefs does the best job for me.

It is a site between your money site and mass links. It is extra protection layer. So you can make a blog on wordpress, build mass link to it (wikis, bookmakrs, etc) and then you link from this blog to your money site. You get the power, but you are not penalized.
