I found a long tail 6 word keyword with around 1,500 searches per month. The exact domain name is selling on an auction that ends in 5 days for cheap. I have a lot of knowledge about this long tail keyword and I am considering writing an ebook and selling it on the website once I purchase the domain name and write some copy and set it up.

My question is what is more important than determining the competitiveness of the keyword, the PR of all the websites on the first page when the keyword is typed in? Or the number of exact matches + exact matches inurl: and intitle: ? Which is more important?

This keyword for example has over 4 million exact matches. Over 10,000 inurl: and over 10,000 intitle:
However at the same time, there are only 2 websites with a PR of 2 and the rest have a PR of n/a on the first page. I checked the backlinks of the websites the PR of 2 and it's only a couple of hundred or so. So is this an easy or a hard keyword?

It's probably not that hard of a keyword since it's 6 words and low searches/month. But don't look at PR, it's not a ranking factor. Those other stats are pretty useless as well IMO. Just look at the backlinks of the top 10 to determine whether it's hard or not.

Isn't PR formed by the quality and quantity of backlinks?

Yes but the Google PR we see isn't accurate; and hasn't been updated in a very long time!

You're better off determining the quality of the competitions backlinks by OpensiteExplorer's Domain Authority (DA) & Page Authority (PA) statistics.

I'm about to buy a Semrush and Ahrefs backlink complete backlink report on the first 10 in the results on Fiverr. Good idea?

    here is what u do.
u go to keyword planner and see how many searches and competition it have.
then u go to google and type ur keyword between "" , like for example u have the keyword: pat went to the market
so u search for "pat went to market"
and tell me how much searches u have left on google.
i will tell u what is the competition like

It is only hard if you make it hard. There is nothing from keeping you back from ranking for giant keywords. It all depends on your time frame in the end, and the money you have to invest.

But then I keep clicking to the last page and I'm on page 24 and the results stop and I get the usual omit message like:

"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 234 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.

So it is only showing 250 "relevant" results

When you're assessing competition, make sure you pay attention to whether any of the top 10 have a 301 redirect pointed at them... that tricked me a few times 'back in the day', simply because I didn't look for it :)
