    • 800k monthly searches
    • Suggested bid ?0.38
    • Low competition
    • Can register domain with exact same keywords

This niche is about health problems. I am planning on monetizing the site by directing the visitors to buy a product on Amazon that will help them treat their disease. Does it sound good?

Low competition based on Adwords ? or the actual competition based on research ?
Adwords show competitions for advertisers, not for "how easy it's to rank for it"
If the second one, well you've found a gold nugget, 800k that;s the dream :)

    1. Is the 800k Exact Searches?
    2. I think the competition will probs be in relation to Adwords, not SEO.

He is probably referring to advertiser competition, which always confuses newbies.
Try checking the top 10 in google by entering:
    Code:
    "keyword"
Check for backlinks and optimization (is the keyword in the title,...) and perhaps check PR (outdated).

Search the forum for basic keyword research.

I believe I can because all of the high ranked pages seems to be not so well SEO optimized.

Low competition based on Adwords I think, since I am getting the information from Google AdWords Keyword Planner.

Exact searches are 792 569 searches per month.

You should base your thoughts on the actual competition off the websites on the first and second page of google, not by the adwords competition. Adwords competition is for advertisers.

Well, I also googled for the keyword and found that the actual SE competition also is fairly low. The top page is WikiHow but the residual pages are health care sites like Medicinenet and Webmd (google those sites, I can't post links).

I am interested in web developing and I have created a website that ranked first on Google. The competition was ridiculously low though, about 1 000 searches per month.

You won't know before you have tested it out, so why not give a shot?

Not meaning to hijack - but how do you select 'exact' searches in new keyword planner?

    Thanks

Is it an action keyword? What is the intent of the searcher when they enter this phrase? Information, action, or location?

Honestly, what are you still waiting for? Why are you talking so much about this magical keyword when you should be cashing in on it?

Health problems? You will be having a hard time on this.

You will see some authority sites ranking on the page 1, like webmd.

    Goodluck.

Sounds like it's worth a shot. Once the site is up, post a followup and let us know how well it ranks.
