The SEOC is over a million how does that challenge my ability to rank for it?

A few low PR are on the top 10... domain age is pretty high... backlinks to that particular page very...

Add the PR of the top 10 websites and divide it by 10.

    6+5+1+5+7+6+0+5+4+2= 41/10 = an average PR of 4.1 (that's bad for you)
You probably shouldn't mess with any keyword with an average PR over 3.

They all also have tons of backlinks ( Bad for you)

I would say that it is a HORRIBLE keyword.

EDIT- When I try to find a keyword for a niche site. I Google it before anything. I try to only use keywords with less then 250k results. Less then 100k is better. Then I check for available domain names.

It really hurts when you spend a bunch of time doing keyword research on a keyword only to find that the best name(s) are taken. I only use .info too.

Great, thx for the feedback! its difficult to tell if a keyword is good or bad to target even while using multiple tools that give very different results.

High DA + High PR + High BL = a hard time for you to rank.

I'd go for something easier before going after that one.

I wouldn't even glance at that keyword, i'd run away. I may even cry a bit (but dont tell anyone...)

Have you seen the MS tutorial videos???

Having a Y in all four boxes on the right indicate that the site is well optimizes for that keyword, if any are red i tend not to bother, (but im a novice lol), FIVE of those are red there... thats crazy bad. Also the domain ages are soooo old. There is one optimized site with 3 backlinks thats managed to fight its way in, which you could take over from but i cant imagine you will get hardly any traffic for the effort involved.

SEOC less than 30k, SEOTCR, lower the % the less competition.

whatever is the first page if it has few direct backlinks and not a very hight pr you can beat it!
i simply would not choose a keyword with PBR 1%!

i differ here a bit..i mean its not my experience but recent observation..
i have seen many kw's with 1st page site having pr0 or pr1..0-10 backlinks..
and the ranking kw's are really awsome..when i saw 2nd 3rd n 4th page sites..many sites there are optimized for this kw..op/ofp..good amount of bl's
the only advantage of first page sites were all were 7-12 yr old and page 2,3,4 sites were relatively new..
again i m in learning stage so plz any pro around here enlighten me here..it would be great..i have asked this many times here but nobody seems to answer this question..can we target such kw's with new sites and can they be chased in 6 months or so?
