The keyword has over 5K [exact] local searches per month and above $1 CPC.

I need to know if I can easily penetrate any of the top 3 spots.

My domain is a .net EMD of the keyword.

    1. What's the competition, in terms of how many results Google says there are for the given search term?

    2. Are there any other EMDs in the top 10?

I would definitely go for this kwd. With proper on-page SEO, an EMD and a couple of nice backlinks you shoud rank in no time. GL.

    Cheers!

Are the top 3 spots the company website of the keyword? Is this a branded keyword (ex. Nike shoes)? If so, it will be VERY difficult knock the company site out of the top 3.

I ask because the backlinks to the top 3 domains are identical, so I am thinking it is one trusted domain with a triple listing...

EDIT: Also if it is a branded keyword you could risk losing your domain for copyright infringement.

Nope. It's a pregnancy keyword and yes the first 3 results are from 1 website which is weird cause they don't have the keyword in (Title/Head/URL/DESC).

I would definitely go for this. I would also build backlinks using Scrapebox, and hire out a couple of social media backlink campaigns and really take the time to produce good content for your site.

Then syndicate it all... Articles to videos, then to pdfs for doc sites, then audio for podcasts, then maybe some PADs...

Doesn't look like any of the competition has on page SEO, so you could start knocking it fairly quickly...

That's why MS makes our life a little easier...

H-m-m.....I wouldn't trust the Samurai in this case. I have to him a lot of issues, including the validity of the data
