Hi guys! An SEO training/conference will be held near me in Manila, Philippines. It's around $190 for a whole day event which is cheap compared to SEO seminars in the US. But converted to our money, that's a lot of money.

The speakers will be Todd Malicoat, SEM Consultantand Internet Marketer, Stundubl.com and Charlie Ellis, SEO Strategist, Gallantfish.com. I haven't heard of them so maybe anyone among you has heard of them. Are they great speakers? Are they considered as "gurus"?

    Here are the topics BTW,

    1. Intro and Terminology (4D of SEO)
    2. Keyword research and Opposition Analysis
    3. Competitive Analysis and KOB Scoring
    4. Information Architecture and Accessibility
    5. On-Site Optimization (Page & Domain Optimization)
    6. Off Site Optimization
    7. Localization, Personalization, Vertical-ization, and Business Models
    8. Project Management and SEO Tools
    9. Improving Trust and Value (Brand & Credibility Indicators)
    10. Tracking SEO

Personally, I don't consider myself as an SEO expert yet. But I'm knowledgeable. In last year's SEMCON event, I read that the speakers stayed behind for a networking party. I'm thinking that the networking that I'll get here will be worth it.

So will you guys attend if given the chance?

Everything you need to learn is here at BHW. I wouldn't waste my time and money going ;)

EDIT: Just saw your mention about networking..Not sure if it's all that important in the internet marketing world. Unless you're looking to JV or something.

Yeah, that's what I thought. But if the speakers are well-known in the US as experts, with personal testimonials from you guys, meeting them will be interesting at the very least.

As for networking, I'm thinking that I can meet the top SEO guys in my country. I think it never hurts to keep the "enemy" close. Besides, I might be able to find guys that I can personally hire.

But yeah, my primary question is about those two guys.
