is this a fake paypal payment email?

sold a item but the buyer sent a fake payal paymen comfirmation email, but i checked my paypal for the payment, but doesnt show anywhere in activities and there is no hold on payments, already reported him twice but heavent heard back from ebay?

If you don't know what to do...

If you receive a suspicious email, FORWARD it to spoof@paypal.com

And it is fake, "dear" is not PayPal word, "click" also...

I won't bother calling eBay. Stuff like that you should not hesitate to call them by phone! Since you don't see the payment on your Paypal then yes it's fake.

don't know about "click" but dear is paypal word.
If you got payment from Invoice, paypal send like this

You received a $xxx.00 USD payment

does the amount add up to what you do charge ?

ask the sender for the paypal transactuon id .

never play with inbox links/buttons can get you scamed thu your browser

Hm... I don't know, all of my PP emails starts with "Hello"

Best solution is to check your paypal account if you have recieved the money or not,as simple as that.

This is the only 2 options when I receive money and how it looks, for me...

just received this reply from him:

Thanks for getting back to me. There has obviously been some kind of misunderstanding. I paid for it immediately, my paypal account is showing the payment as "unclaimed". This is the paypal email address associated with your ebay account: XXXXXXX to which the money has been paid to. . You can confirm this with Paypal as well.

I have already spoken with Ebay and they have advised me that they have put the payment on hold on their side:

This is most likely due to your feedback being below 10 at the moment. So yes, please get in touch with ebay, they will be able to confirm everything. 100% of my purchases on ebay have been successful, with no negative feedback and I've never had any strikes against my account. Once again, ebay will be able to confirm this when you speak to them. I haven't sent you any fake payments or fake emails.

Please let me know once its been sorted out.

arrgh theres no payments on hold checked several time carefuly and cant bloddy tell if hes being legit man, but it does sound very dodgy as it there wasnt any please, it would show up as on hold especially of a new ebay account, but hes alos got 600 feedback but gues that doesnt mean that much as anyone can do a scam.
