I read someone on here say how the free linklicious only crawls like 10% of your links.

I read through the linklicious faqs etc. and found this was indeed true since they say that google only crawls about 10% of your rss feeds whereas with the subscription they make sure google crawls every link by pinging each one individually til they get crawled.

So would there be an easy way to do this manually? I.e. easy enough to be worth doing- I accept it would be a little more effort than paying for it.

This would explain why I did see a good increase in links getting indexed when I began using 'licious but the amount it indexed seemed to correlate with the 10% thing- I have been uploading 2k links per day, unscheduled and only like 100 or so links would get indexed if that.

Yes, there is a way to manually do it.

    - Build your RSS feeds using links2rss.
    - Host your RSS feeds at one of your sites.
    - Post links to your feeds on your blog(s)
    - Ping the links using megapinger or similar

You'll need to track crawls because one ping isn't enough. You'll also need to drip feed out the links over time for two reasons:
    1. If you ping 1000+ of your links at once you will probably get some sort of penalty. Going from 0 links to 1000 (or 20,000!) is suspect, especially if your anchor variations aren't there.
    2. There are some free services for pinging that are a layer on top of pingomatic that run in your browser. Those will get your IP banned by pingomatic VERY quickly while still reporting success.

Slow and easy is the way to go.

Pinging isn't a great factor for indexing. Page content/quality and backlinks are a better method for indexing. Forum profiles won't get indexed no matter how many times you ping. Google is smarter than that. :)

Thanks, I missed your reply till now.

So what is the point of using linklicious at all then? since I only wanna use it for indexing and reading the page that was it's general purpose.

Would I be better just SB blasting EVERYTHING except my money site?
