    Hi guys..

I was wondering if I bought new domains or dropped domains for cheap, boosted serps like blacklinks and what not with the methods we all know about, and then sold them, would I make any money?

I'm new to all the domain selling stuff.
I see that aged domains, niche keywords in the domain name and backlinks can go for a nice price. But what about fairly new domains? Like 1 month old, no website currently on it and maybe 2k backlinks?

I guess the quality of the backlinks would matter, so what about all the above and maybe 3+ PR backlinks?

Is this a good idea or am I wasting my time?

PD: I could get aged domains and serp it up.. just asking what you guys think...

the general WH community is so rampant and obsessed with PR that they will rather buy that first (a domain with pr), the market is actually being dominated though because dedicated WH's can provide this, they have the raw time and investement to acquire these domains. Just like freelancing anything you offer will be drowned to the bottom of the ocean, but there's always a way you can come out on top. Do you have the time, a decent budget? I can easily offer you some theoretical crap but I think that would be robbing you if I offer advice that I never practiced.

Get a keyword rich domain name from Godaddy's $5 closeout sales(some are high already in the SERPs, some have traffic, some have pagerank), put up a website, do your stuff to build backlinks, outsource some article rewriting, let it age(optional) and sell it?

Yeah I second TDNAM, I have got some slick domain names from them for 5$.
Look at sitepoint marketplace, that will give you the best idea.
Here is what I have noticed sells well. (I don't flip but I have looked through the price histories)

Create an e-book and a sales page and build some backlinks to it. I see these selling for $500 to noobs on sitepoint. Of course you have to write the book.

I once came across a website selling an ebook that sounded very similar to one I had received as part of a monthly PLR membership.. I managed to grab a copy of the file (silly person didn't encrypt their paypal link) and sure enough it was the same one.

The site + ebook sold for almost $800 on ebay, and it was just a plr ebook combined with a template site and a few hours work of adding links and snippets of the book to the site.

I just checked, the site is still there. This book was part of a PLR membership that cost under $20/month..

p.s. Look in the footer, they didn't even change the site name from the last site they made with that template! lol.

I bought a 7 year old domain and a PR4 with no traffic for $80 off of sitepoint.

1 month later after doing 30min of SEO it's getting 500 uniques daily and rising 10% a day. Should be at 1000 by next week. All organic through Big G. I could easily flip this one for $5k right now

PR is OK, but AGE is what Big G wants to see.
