If you want to avoid G$$gle (Analytics), try: GetClicky, Piwik, AWStats. Also, many hosts now have analytics like AWStats built into the Control Panel.

You can't get exact data like you can with your own site. But you can look at their on-page SEO to see what they want to rank for. Then do those searches to see where they are actually ranking. Of course, this is no guarantee that they are actually getting traffic from those KWs. If the site is larger you can try something like Compete (which is extremely expensive).

You can use adwords tool enter the domain name under 'websites' and search. You will get list of keywords that particular website has.
These are other free tools you can use
    ahrefs.com
    keywordspy.com
    spyfu.com
    urltrends.com

compete - is good compared with all but it cost you.
