I get offers in my email box from different companies.

    Some are

    • ecig ads
    • insurance
    • dating
    • etc
Is there anyway to tell if these offers coming from an
    a. Affiliate Marketer or
    b. direct from the company?

I see the link which looks like it has a tracking code...but not sure how to decifer that.

Can anyone help with this question....?

Ofc they are from affiliates.. Have you entered your email for any of these companys? If not, I think they dont have legal rights to send you these offers and wouldnt gamble with their reputation.
Just check the url of the landing page or if you get a cookie in your browser when you click the link for some kind of tracking ID.

Check the email address the emails sent from ie (at)xyzinsurance co ltd dot blah

Try find tags in the urls that reference an affiliate ID in the and upon the page loading in the
    status bar

check the info in the email footer relating to unsubscribe options most company's will have there name full postal address etc

    example for Ladbrokes

"Ladbrokes Sportsbook LP, a limited partnership registered in Gibraltar,
number 44 and whose registered office is 57/63 Line Wall Road, Gibraltar.
    To unsubscribe click here"

    Thanks Dudes.

    1. I see they have the unsubscibe option at the bottom of the email flyer.
    2. I see a long tail link.....here it is.
    3. http://www.cobrahealthchoices.com/p...ui=62407f95a4e520130630082850di41&subid=COI61
    4. I see the email address from where its sent is "topheadings@footsteins.com"
    5. I also see a "lead token" from the cookie of "cobrahealthinsurance" leadid_token-d3a868c2-88c4-11e1-b18c-22000a1c5064-5016dd52-1c28-4c6c-9c2a-54650afe83d1

I don't remember signing up to get insurance offers....ever. However, i do belong to an insurance forum (for agents).

Not sure where these offers are coming from. I use a Yahoo when i sign up for forums to side step junk email.

Can anyone tell is this is a "affiliate marketer sending these?"

You can track them, there is a firefox plugin that enables that kind of activities.
