I am a young blogger (under 18) and want to make money online. I have in total made about 70 dollars online thanks to Adsense and Amazon Associates. The thing is, to get payed you have to do taxes and put your social security number.

My parents dont trust it (neither do I a bit) and even though I told them that it is run by Google and Amazon they said that a legitimate business shouldn't ask for a SSN because they can easily steal your info.

So I am asking if there is a way to cash out from Google Adsense or Amazon Associates without the need to put a SSN or do taxes or if there are other sites that allow you to make money online without the need to put a SSN or credit card info. Also please do not say survey sites, those are a thing of the past

Any input is much much appreciated. Thank you.

In regard to the thread title, the easiest way to earn money without filing tax forms would be referring to GPTs. That's the entry level game at least nowadays.

Any business that pays a person for a service will have to get your SSN up front to send you a 1099. As for these companies online using your SSN to create fraud against you that is much less likey then when you make a W-2 out at a job and the whole payroll department having access to it.

The answer would be to sell a product as no SSN is then required. As for taxes you always have to pay taxes on earned income.

This thread was already created and answered on another forum... And I will say the same thing here I said there: Your parents are VERY uneducated if they don't understand why a legitimate business would want your SSN.

You could always do a JV with someone else. I wouldn't personally but if you are comfortable working with someone that has used their SSN then you can just have them pay you directly.

First of all, every legitimate Affiliate business will ask for your SSN for the sole purpose of covering their butts with the IRS. But scam companies will ask for it too!

Amazon Affiliate, Google Adsense and Google Affiliate Network, Yahoo Partner Network, Commission Junction, Clickbank, Avantlink, Chitika, Inuvo, Infolinks etc. are all legitimate business concerns and your personal info is safe. In fact they will make you fill out a US Tax form W-9 before you get paid. If they don't one of 2 things will happen.

    1. You'll never get paid.
    2. Your info will be used somehow, someway and it might cost you.

Don't join Jimmy's Hot Affiliate Network or Bobbie's Basement Guru Program. You will get scammed! You won't get paid for sure and they will use your info for dirty deeds done dirt cheap at your expense!

Any legitimate business will ask for your tax info as will any bogus company. Always do your homework first.

If you buy any goods for re-sale you will have to give tax info period. If they don't ask for it, you can be sure of 1 and 2 above.

Even companies who ask for it might never pay you or might not report their earnings to the IRS. In which case IRS will come after you if you sold their products and didn't pay taxes on your sales revenue.

This is all business 101. Always be wary and do your homework before you do business with anyone.

Have you ever applied for a non-online job? I am assuming not since you don't know that any employer usually needs your ssn to hire you legally. As for answering your question- you can always do freelance work and get paid via paypal and you won't need to enter your ssn along the way (at most sites).

    There's always a paper trail.

Only way around it is offshore hosting and taking all precautions. Debit card off an offshore bank account. Go to the ATM wearing a hat and glasses.
