The max you can get from Yahoo explorer is 1k, seo spyglass can give up to 1.5k, do you know any way to collect more ?

Any software that uses Yahoo's API can access a lot more (maybe unlimited) back links.

    Scrapebox:

Scrape all the URLs for a given domain using site:www.domain.com

Export all the links to a text file, in notepad (not the best for it but it's one you'll definitely have) do find and replace on http to link:http

Then save the file, it will now look like:

    link:http://www.domain.com
    link:http://www.domain.com/widget.html
    link:http://www.domain.com/blue_widget.html

    etc etc

Now run the harvester on this file and you will get all the links to internal pages too which helps you break the 1000 limit.

After it's run do remove dupes and you should be left with a fairly comprehensive backlink report for the site.

I must admit I don't do the above, but think it's about whether the extra time is worth it.

I do a lot of link extracting from AA blog posts + back link checking, I just only backlink check on the Spammer URL which is on those blog posts, without finding out all the subpages of the Spammer's Domain.

It still gets me close a million results each time I do it though, so still get plenty, without hardly ever needing to harvest my own.

I know this method but the majority of webmasters point to the homepage so you don't get much links. But this method worth it.
