So facebook traffic isn't allowed as an amazon affiliate (apart from fan pages).

If I was to get facebook traffic flow onto my website from groups, then have them follow through to an amazon product from there, would this be acceptable traffic as it involves a landing page?

Or if not would there be any way for amazon to find out that i'm getting my traffic from facebook?

As long as you have a landing page with amazon affiliate links you will be okay. Make a landing page instead of sending straight to amazon. I think conversions are better this way anyway.
