Currently I'm creating organic content for Instagram and using ifttt to repost that on tumblr that's all I'm working for tumblr for now.

What will be the best way to do tumblr and get traffic from it?

Please do let me know what kind of things you are doing for traffic from tumblr!

Yeah i also want to know more about tumblr
I am also botting few tumblr accounts and followed 2k+ people but in return i only get 30 followers of my account
Is their any specific way of growing tumblr accounts ?
 
I'm not botting anything but I'll want to bot if it really do drive traffic
 
You could ask for shoutouts from some big 100K+ accounts ...to grow more than 100 flw/day.
 
To gain more traffic off tumblr, best thing you could do is to create multiple blogs as many as possible and automate posting using ifttt's rss to tumblr function. Also use a grid theme for tumblr blog and link thumbnails to source url instead of blog url.
 
What is working for me is posting 2-3 times per day and using proper tags 5-10 per posts. And also liking content and following accounts in my niche.

Post and share unique, fresh content that attract your audience and use related and popular hashtag also.

An attractive image and content that you share on tumblr and also use popular hashtag. It's can help you to grow follower.

They removed support for adult content in December, since then their traffic dropped 30% from 521 million UVs in December to 370 million in February. Some adult content can be still found here and there on it, so i guess you need to be creative with it and other niches still can be good. From the looks of it their NSFW audience left not too surprisingly.
 
Watermarking images can help. Using Tumblr viral script. Contest on Tumblr. Having multiple Tumblrs will also help accelerate results. Have people able to submit stuff to your Tumblr page. Add live chatbox to Tumblr.
