I was thinking this could be a redundant step since it seems to take ages and I can just run the list through fast poster and through a process of deduction the successes/livelinks I will know are real blogs.

    Saves time no?

Am I missing something as to its function?

I use it when I'm planning a bit of manual posting.

Harvest > Blog Analyse > Manually Post

Things such as PR check can also be done before doing the posting.

If I'm hunting for Auto Approve blogs, I don't bother.

I would blog analyze it ranko :), it takes out the spam protected/captcha protected blogs, and this will minimize your risk of getting your proxies askimet banned. If you only plan to use SB for autoapprove blogs forever then thats ok, but if you want to do niche related comment blasts and hope that they approve, you dont want your IP's banned.

Aren't Blog Engine blogs more slow-posted friendly? So, you might want to use it to sort out the blogs you want to use with the slow or manual poster.

I'm not well informed on this though
