Is there any money in event tickets?

I suddenly thought about selling these when I spotted a nifty blog theme for them - I used to have a domain called ticket-touts but I had to let it go due to lack of money when it was time to renew.

So now I'm wondering, is it a profitable market and are there any good affiliate programs anyone has personal experience of? Preferably ones that pay via PayPal

I tried selling tickets for concerts through my links for a week and only earned $9.56. It's a little money but not too much. IMO if you want to spend time/money getting traffic you could turn it into something good.
