You would have to find a site that would literally buy them from a licensed lottery machine, in a licensed state, and good luck trusting that the person is "actually" buying you a ticket.

Sounds like an easy way to scam people pretty much. Sure he could send you the numbers on your ticket and then you could fly to the us state if you won, but I doubt anyone is providing such a service. (Feel free to prove me wrong)

Actually, even if you are a US citizen and you bought it in another state, you have to fly/drive/walk back to the state to claim your prize. So, it is quite an endeavor for someone living far away buying US lottery tickets. Again, just sounds like an easy way to scam people and then get arrested.

Sooooo, I think the answer is no, unless you have a friend in the US do it for you. That would probably be easiest.

I had a customer in a customer service job I had several years back who won the Florida lottery and lived in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He literally drove less than an hour to get to Pensacola and enjoyed his multiple millions. I think it was $5 mil or so.

Yeah, non-citizens can buy tickets. You have to have the physical ticket though. There is no legal online alternative.

A friend (a competitor in my industry) bought 250 tickets and posted them on facebook. $500 blown on tickets.

Then I remembered an old message he sent that asked "hows your business getting so many leads?"
So I replied back to that message "you're an idiot. you could have turned that $500 into $5000 marketing your business... you'll never learn."

Like an hour later he calls up offering money to redesign his website. Mind you, this guys had his website redone at least 2 times a year for the last 8 years or so. It's people like him that are the reason WF cold callers exist. It's people like him thats the reason the lotto exists.

I bought 3 tickets myself. But in the end when we both lose I'll have $494 he doesn't have to invest in my business.
