Is there a way to set a proxy/VPN for each "People" Identity in Chrome?

It would be super useful to have a way to set a proxy for each identity in Google Chrome. This way each of the user profiles would have their own unique IP address (besides already having their own cache, history and cookies - which is already super useful)

I have researched it but in Chrome it seems only possible to set this browser wide for all "People" which defeats the cloaking purpose. I have also searched if there are any add-ons but havenĀ“t found any.

The way I see this could work is to have an add-on that would either allow for setting a proxy or even better for configuring a vpn connection for this one identity - just like the TOR browser automatically routes all traffic through the TOR network while leaving any other traffic on your computer untouched.

Also, my understanding is that Chrome is the only browser that has this multiple user profile (People) feature - do you know of another browser that can do that? I have checked Safari and Firefox.

Anybody else thing this might be useful or am I the only one? Glad to hear your feedback.

    You mean something like MultiLoginApp?

I guess it depends "why" you need such a feature.
