Is there a way to have the term "HQ" in capital letters on a domain name ?

    Is there a way to have the term "HQ" in capital letters on a domain name ?
    For example HQshoes.com looks better then hqshoes.com.

    No, I don't think that is possible.

    I'm yet to see one that has capital letters in the domain name.

    it's the browser that changes it to lowercase... you can write it as you wish

    As Jonian just suggested, domain names are not case senstive at all - HQshoes.com = HQSHOES.com = hqshoes.COM - It's all the same.

    If you want people to think of your site as HQshoes.com - then create a logo that shows it that way when the domain is brought up - but the browser will probably show it hqshoes.com (for the example of course).

    Yeah, as said above; you can't have it show up that way in the URL field. If you type it out on the page (title tag might work best if you're going for that look in the search results), you can have it show that way.

    I know it's not case sensitive. I don't care about it showing in lower cases in the URL bar. I just want it to show up as HQ on google! I saw that before but i don't remember the domain name.
