Twitter suspends your accounts for following too "aggressively".

So instead of having 10 accounts that follow 1000 people a day, why not have 200 accounts that follow 50 people a day... eventually you'll have 200 accounts with a couple thousand followers each. Is there a disadvantage to having your followers spread over multiple accounts?

I think what you're saying is that you're wondering why is it better to mass follow on a small number of accounts over only following a little on a large number of accounts?

In my personal history/use of twitter, I've gained more followers from mass following/one day than just following a small number of accounts per day.. (you get more of a return)

normally, if you follow 50 accounts, there's chance that maybe 5-15 will follow you back.. depending on what type of account that is.

Yeah basically, when I try to follow 400-500 a day I get suspended eventually, so I figure why not just spread that out across many accounts?

I've noticed that when you have a new account (less than 100 followers) fewer people will follow you back... but if you're patient once you get it to 200-300 followers and it looks normal, people will follow you back just the same as when you have 4000 followers.

So it looks to me like it shouldn't matter, unless there is something I've missed?
