Is there a devalorization on PR-s?

    Before the last PR updates I saw mostly PR 2-3 pages and lower. Now, almost anything I search is PR 4+. Is the PR system loosing it's value? How important is the PR anyways when trying to rank against pages with PR 4 or so?

    PR doesn't mean shit and hasn't for a long time. It's a handy rule-of-thumb way to quickly evaluate sites (e.g. web 2.0s you want to spam or places where you want to drop links) but toolbar PR has little relevancy to ranking, especially with the infrequency of toolbar PR updates these days, and also because there are a bunch of other signals used to rank sites other than plain link juice (e.g. social juice, trust, freshness...). Just build links until you get the rankings that you want and don't worry about PR.
