    Hey guys,
I've used market samurai to track my website serp posistion for a long time and I never tracked it by hand till now.
Now I figure out the position MS given is not same to actual position in www.google.com (broad search) .
Most are far from the actual positions while some have 2-3 error.

I use the latest version 0.85.28, you know, I cannot ask for help from their support because it is cracked version.

Does anyone has experience on that?

Technically, it just bypasses their validation system so it doesn't mean the functions are discounted or don't work.
It has same and workable functions with paid version but it is free. :p

Make sure the supposed error in MS is without your personalized results. So in all reality MS is probably right where your results are probably off A few.

Then again it could have a glitch, works fine for me though.

    emmmm.
My firefox is not english version( it does matter for google ) and IE has been removed so it doesn't work at all.
My site is ranked for my keyword in the 1st page either at google.com or the local one, however, MS shows off 25.
Interesting, maybe I should checkout MS javascript

You have to remember, Google doesn't have just 1 database, it has many and depending on where you are, you could be ranking better or worse in some locations. MS isn't in sync with Google, it uses it as a whole. Also, for new sites Google is still trying to find out where it fits in for serps. You should expect some differences. There are too many variables for rankings. Don't obsess yourself over it, just give good content, build your links and you'll do good.

Only use MS to give a good, general idea of your SERP position. You have to account for personalized settings and geo factors.

I have a paid copy of Market Samurai and have noticed that they are occasionally totaly wrong on Yahoo rankings, but usually pretty accurate for Google...

    Thanks for your replies.
At first, I've take geo factor into consideration, however, the serp position the MS given is sometimes too inaccurate when I manually check out my site at my google.com and the google of my country.

It could be checking a different data centre that has updated results, from the one you are viewing results from.
