    Hi

I'm ready to buy a very high PR domain for several $100 dollars. I checked both prchecker.info and rankchecker.com and both show pr is real.

Do I have anything to worry about?

the safest way is check backlinks. theres a pr exploit going around that pr checkers arent catching but backlink checkers show zero backlinks.

This is what I'm worried about - what the exploit?

The domain is 2 years old / no backlinks & I'm paying quite a pretty penny for it...

All PR checkers including http://www.pagerankchecker.net/ show it's pr 8

    Whats the exploit?

I don't know what the exploit is, but I know it exists. I have been offered pr9 backlinks for cheap and looking into its backlink profile, theres absolutely zero way of being a pr9. Be careful.

    I always use cekpr.info , and ipagerank.info
or write in google "info: yourdomain.com" without the quotes...
2 years is a short time to make website into valid pagerank 8.
and pagerank8 for $100 is cheap in my opinion, I always sell pagerank8 for $150

    sorry my bad english :D

No backlinks = obviously fake . As mudbutt said there's an exploit which exists right now.

A REAL PR8 would be worth $xxxx-$xx,xxx so bottom line is, if it's too good to be true....

This is a bid on godaddy auctions & I'm kind of getting worried that pr is fake..

Anyway to cancel my bid? I don't want to loose $1,000..

Stay away from it. If there are no backlinks, that's definitely not good. Also you want to see natural and real backlinks when buying high PR domains - not comment backlinks and forum posts.

Always wondered why people would bid almost $800 for a PR8 domain with barely a few backlinks, but they wouldn't bid more than $100 for a strong PR4 domain name.

Find a way to retract it...you're getting fooled. If someone was actually selling a real PR8 you should be expecting to pay thousands.

All the page rank checkers are missing an exploit at the moment as mud said. Best way is to check the back link profile and see how many good links it is getting. Check the chart below if it has a similiar profile for the page rank it is it should be legit. If it is to good to be true move on and save your money.

I tried emailing godaddy auctions - no response - anything I could do to retract?

    Thanks
