    Hello,

Does the website have sv-servicecom real or fake pagerank?

If it is real, does anybody have tips for what I should do with the website. I was thinking of flipping it into a forum maybe but I don't have too much experience in flipping websites.

    Thank you.

Yes it is a real page rank. It's PR is 6.I have checked with Scrapebox Fake PR checker and it is showing that it's PR is real.So no problem. Those who has not Scrapebox they can use this method:

    Code:

No that's not real PageRank regardless of what the toolbars are telling your or Scrapeboxs Fake PR checker. Those tools check the domains cache and see if it matches the domain in question. Since it DOES, it says its valid.

The problem is that you don't have links to support the PR6 in the first place. It only has 8 links, and only one PR4 link.

Chances are that it will change to a PR2-3 sometime in the very near future.

Google's cache shows that the website is not 301 redirecting to another website.

Yes, I know that website has very few back links. However, notice that the domain is very old and it must have survived the recent page rank update.

My Question: Can the page rank change before the next page rank update which sohuld at least be 3 or 4 months?

It doesn't matter if the cache is/isn't showing a 301 redirect to another website!

Google will cache the domain AFTER the 301 goes away before updating any PageRank. Ask me how I know.

Yes the PageRank can change before the next PR update, again ask me how I know. The backlinks of the domain in question cannot provide a PR6, regardless of how old the domain is.

This is a little complicated for me but it makes somewhat sense. Hasn't the 301 re-direct gone away already? You say google will cache the domain after the re-direct goes away but google's cache is not showing any re-direct. What exactly do you mean by cache? So, yeah...

You can do a search by entering this in Google: cache:sv-service.com

The 301 redirect was done probably through the domain registrar. You are correct that there is NO 301 redirect currently on that domain, since I'm guessing you are now in control of it.

Since the domain is no longer 301 redirected and Google has come back, its taken the cache of the domain when it wasn't 301'd. Although Google's PageRank & cache are not lined up. Meaning that its taken a cache of the current domain but hasn't updated the PR yet. It still has the PR of whatever domain it was originally redirected to.

OK. I understand. When the last PR update happened, this website had 301 redirect to a PR6 website and so toolbars said the PR was fake. Now I have the website and the 301 re-direct has been removed. Since there is no 301 re-direct, the toolbars say that the PR is valid. However, when Google comes next time, it will take a cache again or will it also update the PR? I believe that the PR should be updated at the next global PR update and then the PR will be assigned accoding to the backlinks.

So, will the PR hold until the next PR update?

    Thanks.

Your PR has already down to 4 from 6.So your idea is wrong. Any time Google can update PR for this type of 301 redirected domain.I am not sure but as you removed 301 redirection so now try to create some strong back links asap to keep some PR.I will observe this domain to see what will happen.I was thinking to buy around 10 PR 4 to 5 old domain but i have stopped my idea.I will observe this domain before taking any decision. Thanks for helping in this way.

I don't think my idea is wrong. There was a global PR update and thus my website was affected too. This is a little more complicated than I thought. My another website ayadallawidotnet had 301 redirect to a PR6 website and I'm not sure how to explain the current PR of this website...

Check your website backlink. If your website PR is 6 then your website should atleast one backlink from PR6 page.
