Is someone pointing russian porn sites at my one page on purpose?

I have a site that has mysteriously been bouncing from page 1 to to page 2 to page 3 slowly for a while now.

I finally decided to go into cpanel(among other things) and try to diagnose what is going on.

Some person is pointing russian porn websites at my page either through hidden text in the html or anchored straight on the page.

I disavowed all the links thankfully it was only around 100.

Question though, is this is a classic negative SEO thing or something new? It honestly seems like it must be one person that I had been stepping on his niche in Russia because they are literally all russian spam/porn sites.

    Anyone else ever have this?

Sounds like negative SEO to me. I've been dealing with it too, I had to disavow 40 or so backlinks just the other day. It wasn't porn anchors but it might as well have been - erectile dysfunction meds, knock-off designer products, etc.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. I am fine now and checked out most of my other sites and this was the only one. But still, glad I decided to investigate.

I had thought it was just google being google for a while. I hope we both get back up there. ; p
