Is SEO just bullshit?

    I have done SEO for lots of sites and ranked #2 for 18k global monthly search, traffic was just 40 visits/day. I didn't gave up.
    Now i am ranking #2 for 27k global monthly search, traffic is 199 visits per day.
    What is absolutely wrong? Are keyword research tools absolutely wrong in stats or is it the way SEO is?

    I have read journeys here where guys make good money from 3k search keywords. Mine is always different.

    How are you checking your rankings? Did you try multiple rank trackers?

    It's not just bullshit. #1 spot in google generates around 35% of search volume, spot 2 20% and so on. But of course it depends on niche and if there are known sites in serps which people recognize, or your copywriting for title and description is simply crap :)

    Maybe you have a bad keyword. For example if you have a kw like definition of animal
    Google will show the definition. That answer is there and they won't click on any links

    Yeah that must be SEO's fault then...

    That's some of the worst CTR I've heard of from search.

    Your site titles must be atrocious, or you're tracking rankings wrong and you're logged into gmail or some noob shit.

    If that is the way it is, how is possible people make $1k per month, with keyword of 3k US monthly search?

    Important thing with making good money with whatever traffic you have is ensuring that your content and KW has buyer intent - or leads them in a persuasive way to do whatever you need them to (whether it be PPI or anything)

    Mine is CPA gaming type. If is in YouTube, i get 60 clicks for 6k search for just ranking #4.

    It all depends on the vale of the visitor.

    There are multiple factors playing in. Just a very rough example, a keyword can have 50 searches a month but the average sale is $10,000. So 1 sale a month out of those 50 searches = $10,000.

    Or on the other hand side you can have keywords that are 100,000 searches a month but the value of an average visitor is extremely low. Again, quality beats quantity.

    Exactly this ^^

    YOu have to use this info along with your keyword research. So you know roughly what share of the traffic you can get depending on your position, you know (In theory) what position you can rank to. So you then need to know the product or service that you can sell to the visitors, or the way that you can monetize them then you can do some math - [exact monthly searches] / 100 * [percentage of traffic for your target position in serps] / 30.4 (average days in month) / 100 * [conversion rate - maybe between 2% - 20%] * [value of product / commision you get per sale]

    Then you know roughly what you could earn from that keyword / niche or whatever. Then you can decide on your budget for ranking and whether or not its feasible.
