I'm planning on starting an offline campaign but wanted to make sure sending massive amounts of flyers with coupons attached doesn't constitute spam. I receive junk mail from the same stores everyday so I would assume not but I want to make sure since I'm going to be sending in large quantities.

Yeah Google will be able to tell all of those flyers are spam by using their super secret spy satellites. ;)

no, but you may want to check with your city clerk for ordinances. This would not be "spam", but some cities require a permit to pass out fliers and others dont.

Yeah you have to have a permit to send out flyers, I would check with your local council ot whomever it is in your area first to see about how you can apply for a permit and costs etc

interesting. I was thinking to try this kind of stuff also.
let know how this campaign is going!

If you send it via the mail then it is straight, fliers are ok in many places but dont put them in a mailbox.

Other than that offline spam is pretty ridiculous like when I get arrested I will usually end up with like 500 attorney spam mails in my mailbox. Same with if I apply for a CC/etc. Thats all straight as long as it sent via USPS and they pay postage.

Yes. I think those are still considered spam. And, Google do have a system to detect it. You might as well consider thinking about other methods.

You would first get a warning if you are doing too much, but for the most its cool.

I am an offline spammer and never got into any trouble it's easier safer and sometimes profitable than online stuff. Don't forget to spam with the yard signs they are very effective it takes day's sometimes weeks before my signs are cleaned up by the &^%$.

it would be junk mail, but not spam. also if you mail these, make sure it complies with postal regulations as far as how it is sealed together, etc.

In the US it is perfectly fine to send a zillion flyers to residential homes using USPS, FedEx, whatever.

You may not put them in people's mailboxes as that is a Federal offense.

You may put them on doors, under doormats, attached to door handles, etc.

Outside of the US, I have no idea as I never marketed outside of the States.

I love this post....Sorry if it was a typo but it is really really funny. Like you have it planned or it is an annual holiday LMMFAO @ "like when I get arrested"

Its not planned but at this point in my life I'm done saying "I'll never go to jail again". I'm not a criminal by any means but I do tend to fuck up on fairly regular basis. :)
