Since I love social media so much I was thinking I could grow some twitter accounts to about 100k-250k followers and sell them off, but I was wondering if that would be worth it financially? I can get about 200-300 followers a day if I really work hard, doing that for say 5 accounts it would take me little over a year to reach my goal (109,500 in a year if I get 300 a day).

After this year I will have 5 accounts with 100k followers each, I was thinking the lowest price I would sell them at would be about £25-£50 an account. Multiply that by 5 and I'll have a solid £250 in that year.

Obviously I know you can't really make a living off this but £250 is not bad even if it is £250 a year. Even so I will have to be active on those accounts every single day to hit my goal on time. That's a lot of time to spend on social media, I also have studying to do.

This would be good for a little spending cash, but I wanted to know if it's a good idea or not? Should I raise the price per account or just drop the idea and do some affiliate marketing instead? What would be a better value for time in your opinion?

Thanks for reading this and sharing your opinion with me.

    Toodles~

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking if I spend all that time and/or money growing these accounts I could use them for affiliate marketing or as backlinks to other blogs or webpages I have. I just thought I should get some opinions on this before I did anything too drastic, thanks for the advice :)

It's better to use them and earn long term money than to sell them at that price. Spending so much time with them and just getting $250 for a year is just ridiculous; you better spend your time on survey sites/gpt sites if you are trying to earn that little.

I was thinking I could build an audience that high and use it to sell backlinks on fiverr or something, thank you for the reply :)

What is your method? Can you share it if it is not a big secret?

100k follower is not a thing rather than a number. You need to give more details. If you have very-narrow targeted followers most from U.S. then you should raise the price a lot higher. If you ever used followback keywords to find followers then they are almost invaluable. Summary is that your method and profiles of your followers matter.

To get followers I use a mixture between, interacting with people in DMs et cetera, posting quality tweets with tags to get traffic (also twitter ads) and recycling followers but I make sure to interact with the recycled followers to keep them as active as possible

From what it looks like, the best solution would be to keep the accounts and monetize them with Fans2Cash or Mylikes.

Believe it or not, you can make that amount passively from day 1 off accounts that size.

Signup to HootSuite and start pushing viral articles to get yourself back on your feet.
