Is it just me or high volume keywords is impossible to rank quickly?

Tried to rank parasite page on pr9 domain, while 30k exact match keyword is ranking first page within 3 weeks, 200k keyword using same link building technique is not ranking at all, even better it is nowhere to be found in google after 6 weeks.

Anyone tried to rank high volume keywords lately?

Of course it's different! When you're going for high volume keywords, you're actually competing against tons of websites that are essentially doing the same thing. Not only are they doing the same thing, they're probably doing it better, with bigger budgets and more experience. Nothing good in life comes easy, my friend.

I doubt it just that, i think there might be some google tweak about this.

If it was just that i would see some keyword movement anyway, but it is not even in top 100, for a keyword where top 10 results are authority pages that are ranking naturally.

In this case you need to be more specific. Also I hope you arent only trying to crack a niche in a week or 2. SEO isn't an exact science. One day your keyword can not rank in the top 100, and the next day it could pop up in top 20. There are super competitive keywords that require a ton of work just to get into the top 50.

No you wouldn't see any keyword movement. Why? Because you are most likely building spammy backlinks. It takes more than GSA and Sape links to rank for a 200K searches per month keyword.

Also, Google is more sensitive to spam for such keywords and, even if you eventually get ranked on the first page, Google will manually remove your site from the index relatively quickly. Other webmasters will notice your site and may even blog about it, which will do nothing but get your site removed faster.

    It isn't worth the effort.
